8 ways to confidence RP MLS sold report REMAX

Family friends and clients,

Rocky Point is busy which is great at the same time we search for balance. We continue to do our best to run our own race.

In this opportunity of Rocky Point I thinks the Jones are alive and well. While many follow the masses I am constantly reminded it is not how many people we serve but more importantly the people we serve and how we serve them.

Getting deep again but the point is this is more than a business for us. It is about helping people live the good life like us on the beach in Rocky Point. Sure get a fair buy but more importantly find the right property you will be happy with now and 5 years from now. Not do the deal, sell them and get the check… I dislike that approach.

I read from a book everytime I get to the office about value – here is a quote I like.

Today, all restuarants are clean, all gas stations are convenient, all realtors have listings, and all banks have money.

All things equal, the distinguishing value now becomes your people.

From – Great ideas

While I know we can always do better as I walk away from our owners meetings with 2 pages of notes on how we can improve – our great value to you is our team.

I would like to thank our team here at RE/MAX for going above and beyond for our clients. I have never been so excited to walk in our office.

Here’s to the adventure the good life in Rocky Point!

Most importantly thank you for the opportunity no matter how big or small to be a part of your story here in Rocky Point.

Look at yourself. Who do you see? Superhero, muscles bulging, cape flying—ready to conquer the world? No? If you don’t believe you can conquer the world, then there’s no way you ever will.

You might not be superhuman, but you can combat the villain of low self-esteem. How? We asked the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC), “What is one way someone can build their self-confidence, personally and professionally?” for answers.

Here are their suggestions for a boost:

1. Strengthen your mind.

Self-confidence is a state of mind that can be achieved through intentional action. Allotting time to nurture your mind, body and spirit (preferably one hour a day) can be done in a variety of ways. I prefer to read, exercise and meditate in the morning. If you’re not taking time for yourself, then you’re allowing someone or something to shape your view of the world. —Dustin Cucciarre, BryghtAds Inc.

2. Discard the negative thoughts you don’t need.

A whole new branch of psychology is dedicated to mindfulness, but it boils down to this: Negative thoughts and insecurities pop up like pimples. And, like pimples, picking at them—even if you mean to discredit and burst that negative bubble—ultimately makes it worse. So, mindfulness practice teaches you to treat thoughts as tools. Use and strengthen the ones you need; discard the ones you don’t.  —Manpreet Singh, TalkLocal

Although finances shouldn’t be the highest priority in our lives, I will say money plays a major role and we need to see it for what it is: a tool. As my good friend Zig Ziglar says, “Money isn’t everything, but it ranks right up there with oxygen!”

Money is a tool that, depending on how we use it, can bring much joy to our lives or it can bring destruction. We need to be aware of all the possibilities it offers as well as the pitfalls. Some of the most amazing things have been done because people had the financial resources to fund them—businesses have been built, schools started and philanthropic charities founded that have accomplished much good. On the other hand, friendships have been ruined, illicit gains profited and lives destroyed—all over money.
Interestingly enough, when it comes to debt, I have found that many otherwise intelligent people just don’t get it. So, for a little help, here are five things you must understand to achieve financial freedom:

1. Develop the right mindset. When it comes to debt, the only mindset is one of ruthless opposition. We need to see debt as the very enemy of our financial lives. If we begin to say, “Well, a little debt here and maybe a little debt there,” we will soon see a lot of debt everywhere. In the same way money can compound positively when we save and invest, debt can also multiply and push you deeper into debt as each month passes. The right mindset is that we need to get out of debt and stay out of debt. Is this your mindset? Many times, we are a product of the environment we were raised in or we associate with currently. Have you thought lately about the mindset you have toward debt?

2. Gain more understanding. Some people have no idea how much debt they actually have. Some people do not know whether they have a positive or negative net worth. You can’t plan your future if you do not know where you currently are. Think of it this way. Let’s say you wanted to visit a friend and needed directions to get to his home. When you call for directions, he would ask you where you are coming from. Typically, we would tell him our town or address, and he would then give us directions how to get there from where we are. Imagine, however, if we told him we didn’t know where we were. He couldn’t give us directions because he wouldn’t know whether to tell us to go north or south, east or west.

CLIFTON, Rodger Joseph 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 5th, 2017. Rodger was born in Pontiac, MI on December 9th, 1935. Rodger is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Louise Clifton; his brother, Tommy Clifton; his sister, Mary Ann Clifton and his Gentle Giant son, Brian Christopher Clifton. Rodger is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jeanette E. Clifton, whom he called his “precious yum yum,” sister-in-law, Donna Clifton (widow of Tommy); sister, Nancy (Frank) Lozzi; brother, Art (Karen) Clifton; sons, Patrick (Chris) Clifton, Michael (Jeanne) Clifton, Lisa Clifton (widow of Brian), Matthew (Kim) Clifton and the sparkle of his eyes his ten grandchildren, Brittany (Robby) Marycz, Sean Clifton, Ian (Hailey) Clifton, Caitlin Clifton, Kelly Clifton, Melisa Clifton, Mikey Clifton, Jadon Clifton, Matthew Yates and Adam Clifton and many nieces and nephews. Before Rodger’s passing he received the joyous news that a “great grandbaby” was on the way.

Rodger filled his 81 years of life well. “Everything in excess! To enjoy the flavor of life, take big bites. Moderation is for Monks.” This quote from Robert Heinlein was Rodger’s mantra. He worked hard and played hard, accomplishing great success in all aspects of his life. He touched many lives with his friendship, mentoring, generosity of spirit and his incredible philanthropy. Rodger was an entrepreneur who had a “gift of gab” and an ability to sell anything. Using his business degree from Eastern Michigan University, he began his career in Michigan with Texaco then quickly venturing on his own with Gripe-Clifton Oil Company, building the enterprise into the largest fuel oil distributor in Southern Michigan. Staying with the car theme, he also opened a chain of tire stores and even got to sponsor his own NASCAR. During a trip to Tucson in the winter of 1974, Rodger saw the wisdom in leaving Michigan for warm desert and moved the family here. His first real estate company was Century 21 Frontier Realty which quickly became the #1 franchise for C-21 in North America. His next business venture was Clifton Investment Company which acquired, developed and managed over 5000 apartment units and commercial properties in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

In the early 90’s Rodger and Jeanette “retired” to Rocky Point, Puerto Penasco, MX. Almost immediately they opened First Mexican Investments with their partner, Compadre and 5th son, Enrique (Carmen) Rodriguez. So much for retirement. There is no doubt that Rodger was a successful businessman, but it was his generosity of spirit and his philanthropy that set him apart as a human being. From the time he began his first company in Michigan, Rodger and Jeanette spent most of their money, time and energy helping those less fortunate. Rodger and Jeanette were instrumental with many projects including an orphanage in Altar, Mexico, “Casa Hogar” a home for the elderly in Puerto Penasco and assisting Amore Ministries in the community which brought many groups together to build over 2000 homes for those in need. One of their most unique projects was instructing students from the Penasco middle schools to build “Earthship” houses out of tires, cans and sand and showing them the benefits of recycling. Mexico was not the only place that benefited from Rodger and Jeanette’s huge hearts.

Their latest projects in Tucson have been the Santa Maria Soup Kitchen and Sister Jose Women’s Center which they have been raising funds to construct a new building. There are no words to summarize the life of Rodger Joseph Clifton. His life’s accomplishments were not his business successes, but rather the way he was able to connect with people. Rodger made people believe in themselves and truly loved life. Always the leader, Rodger inspired innumerable individuals during his 81 years on earth. His kindness, love, humor and zest for life will live on through those who were fortunate enough to have known him. A Celebration of Rodger’s life is to be held in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora on April 1st, 2017.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to José Dávalos Valdivia Casa Hogar and/or the Albergue Infantíl Amores de Peñasco.

I started looking at condos in Rocky Point in the spring of 2012. Branden from Re/Max Legacy was quick to answer any questions or concerns. Branden followed up with many condos that fit my need and budget, never pressuring me along the process. Branden possesses great knowledge of the market and Rocky Point.  I purchased a condo in the Princesa in August of 2012. Thanks to Reyna, the closing process was quick and easy, unlike closing on a home in the US. Branden contacted me several times after the purchase to ensure customer satisfaction. Oh, by the way he guided me through another condo purchase in April of this year. My wife and I have become good friends of Branden and Reyna and they are in constant contact to see how we are doing.

Very pleased
